2010, it was time, the 10th official Motörhead album rolled over the counters, “The World is Yours” is the title of the piece splendor. A year later, there is the album in the form that is accepted only: Live! Motörhead: Reaper is Ours The complete concert of the tour in Santiago, and excerpts from New York and Manchester on CD, plus a DVD with interviews, backstage footage and of course plenty of live recordings of concerts, oh, Motorhead, you spoil us.Besides the anniversary album of 2010 are of course also played classics and yes, “Ace of Spades” is also there.

Why you should be especially good to do the interviews, is obvious: Motorhead are among the musicians who play for their fans, are working hard for years and are grateful for the laurels . Speaking of berries, but rather we would have expected at least whiskey or beer, but the band is now bringing out their own wine also.

 Motörhead: The Whine is Ours

Shiraz is an Australian wine, which makes the best with hearty dishes and a delicious cheese plate. With € 10.90 per bottle, it is rather a luxury that you can indulge at Christmas time, it is not kept quiet about who is responsible for the wines: the Broken Back Winery Australia. Well then cheers.

So, who wants to do his buddy a favor rye roll, which gives the rock pack with the Shiraz and a cheese plate.

Seasick Steve is like a character from a poem or a Bukowsky Kerouac story, only without the bitterness because of what has now experienced over 70-year-old already in his life, seems like the dream of an eternal wanderer, “On the Road,” a piece with his stories of the past into the present brings.

Seasick Steve

 through the decades

born in 1941 in Oakland, Steven Gene Wold fled the age of 13 from his parents house to escape his brutal stepfather. From then on, he moved across America, worked in the field, in the circus, lived on the street, in the gutter, and from hand to mouth. Early on, he learned the blues guitar, he is known today for his specially converted guitar models, which were all drawn from the ravages of time, but this has its own charm. Playing guitar with a one-sided bulky? No problem for Steve.

In the '60s he began to tour with other bluesmen to work as a studio musician and help out in production. In the '90s he helped such a then little-known band called Modest Mouse on their first albums. Who would have thought it, but if you listen closely, finds the connections, not in the straight running songs.

A touch of history in

 Blues

Only in the 21

Century the world started to Seasick Steve, who was given the name of a buddy, as he hung over the railing to get attention. No wonder, for his debut album came out in 2006, the “Dog House Music”, there was finally a disc, which could of the radio stations up and down to be played.

Wolds Blues is a little harder, with some rock, some country references. Just like Seasick Steve himself, who with his wife and children more than 59 times moved, his sound never stays in one place but moves around, testing out yourself, there again what Steve has seen for decades.

Together with his

Three String Wonder, a Fender Coronado similar guitar with only 3 pages and Steve, according to a ghost story in the neck, playing with the blues musician John Paul Jones, Nick Cave, Wayne Carson Thompson, Amy Lavere and his three sons who are all musically move, it probably lies in the blood.

Time he throws one back in the 40s years, sometimes you can feel the dust in the throat, then swings back to Steve in the modern sounds of guitar music and surprises around the corner with gospel songs. To get a first impression in the work of an outstanding musician who tells wonderful stories, the best of “Walkin 'Man” is a good investment.

Given his newcomer status in Germany, I expected a more pleasant then filled Frannz Club when I was on 19.11. there opened to see the artist live. The queue outside the door made me doubt it quickly, that it would be a standing concert with plenty of space to dance. Special Guest Foy Vance Club was the mood before the main act great.Jarle Bernhoft had brought as a support Foy Vance, who is actually with his intense voice and a mixture of folk, country and gospel managed to bring the audience to sing along. That Foy Vance is excited with his music, attention was, years ago, even the already not an unending debate in the fan forums of the series Grey's Anatomy, after the song “Gabriel And The Vaganbond” in the episode 21 of the second season running as background music.

Who wants to learn more about this artist, click on the homepage.

 Jarle Bernhoft

Jarle Bernhoft for me is the most promising artists on the German market and live as good as I had hoped. His music lives not only of his voice, but also of his loops and samples, which he recorded live. And something else distinguishes these artists from Oslo: He seems humble, almost has a little bit about the excitement that overtook him in the audience even before his first song, scared and that although he was already an old hand in Business is and before his solo career with the band clamping was successful. His voice was unmistakable even here. The hair is now much better

As I had mentioned earlier assumed that Bernhoft only a few people in Berlin is a term and therefore the crowd would not be so great. I mean, he does not even have a German Wikipedia entry! At the concert I found myself in full to the brim again Frannz between glittering eyes girl. Heartthrob potential, this all-rounder, and so even if that were not enough to Jarle Bernhoft is also an entertainer with a dust-dry humor was lost. Anyone who wants to view live once, should ever again click on the homepage of the artist and hope for new concert dates, his Germany tour ended, unfortunately, seems at present. Until new appointments must be directed to Youtube:

On 13.12. Jarle Bernhoft will then occur again in the Harald Schmidt Show. His single “C'Mon Talk” appears at 9.12.

The new album titled 5 since 2011 is still part of the brief discography.Seven years after their separation, are reunited and Lamb have a sound on the market than they would have preserved it, just like children to enjoy the Christmas tree in front of the unsuspecting, rapt faces of their fans.
And how was

pleased to see the duo back from Manchester, appeared at the opening of the 3-day side trip Germany-their reunion tour in the glory of the home port of Neukölln.

 Tour 2011/2012

Not euphoric, rather quiet, maybe a little tense was the atmosphere in the audience before the concert. It had something of the uncertainty surrounding the reunion of an old friend. When Andy and bassist Jon Thorne, followed by singer Lou finally came on stage, knew no bounds of joy. Berlin celebrated the reunion of the Lambs and it effusively thanked the audience with an evening you will not soon forget. Time and again, old treasures in the typical sound made, then a new look and classic songs of the fifth album. The tape was released, clearly enjoyed it, to prepare the audience a good time and eventually played three encores. That somehow the mood resembled that of a farewell tour, may have been due to the long break the band, but perhaps also because it is assumed always to have for the last time they saw live.

 Another language

How can such a work

unequal duo ever? On the keyboard or drums Whip Andy, who is celebrating his music every moment on stage and drives, in addition Lou, quiet, seductive, powerful voice. The tension between them is palpable and electric. Why is it developed a more positive and more present evening, is because they – in their own way – want to be close to the audience and the love of their music together. The Engtanz of Jon and his bass completes the picture, is not to think away and maybe even the secret reason that a tour is possible at all. Lamb Lamb is back, and perhaps more than ever before.

 History

1996 were found singer Louise Rhodes and keyboardist Andy Barlow and invented a musical style that is sorted into the CD department under trip hop or electronic, the less catchy but was rather unusual but almost mysterious. When in 1999 the album Fear of Fours and highly published the video for “Softly” on music channels and has been played down, the band was already more than an insider. Nevertheless, there were even among the trip-hop fans rather than mainstream to underground. That did not change with the next album. Although the two faithful over the years of their melancholy and playfulness remained, but their work was not as enthusiastic, not so pure as to their beginnings, and so the separation fell silent in 2004. The duo gave the preference to their own projects, and Lamb was history. That they remained in contact, that the call was after the two became louder and she ends up being the best old songs before an audience, gave paved the way for the reunion.

 5

That one finally

2011 – for the first time – was in his own label, in his own studio and produce genuinely make the music for which Lamb once got a record deal, all fans can hope that the Magic has returned. And in fact: Anyone who has had the opportunity to hear in 5 in., will feel the positive mood. Is positive in the sense of flowery, positive in the sense of `back to the roots', back to the clarity, depth, melancholy and energy of days gone by.

unequal duo ever?

With a half lovingly compiled Best Of and three brand new songs, say goodbye to four. R.E.M. – Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage it would be so easy to make, was in her career, there are enough radio hits that alone would already result in a collection of round, but on the last REMPublication are also a number of songs, which is rather close to the fan base close to my heart and make it safe to enter the canon of their discography.

The singles are all found, from “Radio Free Europe” to “Everybody Hurts”, and even the future – not universally popular – songs like “Leaving New York” have found it on the plate, in the booklet There are comments on each song the band have to buy the info about the accompanying album is a double album that otherwise offers little persuasion, leaving aside “The Great Beyond” from “Man on the Moon “From the Best Ofs published 8 years ago, unfortunately the very congruent with the” “soundtrack and” Bad Day is PLPHPTPG. “

Best Of 1982-2011: for single collector

Who

R.E.M. experienced and probably many more than one of the bands only peripherally, has brought out the great singles, but seldom motivated to purchase music, will this be for the Best Of ensure a worthwhile purchase, especially as the price of around € 18 & ; fair for a double album. Perhaps it will even make sure that you look at the discography of the band sounds a little more, because they have been mainly in the late 80s and early 90s more than just the singles, were partly the voice Generation X, dominated the radio and record player. A little more could have been expected, but nevertheless, because 2 CDs and a thin booklet is then but a skinny farewell for such a great career.
